MANILA, Philippines - Toronto Raptors guard Kyle Lowry is taking his team's Game 1 loss to the Miami Heat personally after an overtime collapse on their homecourt.
The two-time NBA All-Star Lowry redeemed himself from a poor shooting night by hitting a game-tying halfcourt heave at the buzzer to send the game into overtime tied at 90-apiece. But all hope faded for the series opener after the Heat opened the overtime period with 8 straight points.
The Heat held on to win 102-96 and steal a road win at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Canada on Wednesday, May 4 (Manila time). Afterwards Lowry stuck around to work on his shooting following an otherwise dismal showing of 7 points on 3-of-13 shooting, being recorded shooting around until just before 1 am.
Lowry will get a chance to show if his late-night practice helped out when the Raptors and Heat meet for Game 2 on Friday. – Rappler.com
