MANILA, Philippines - A scary scene unfolded at World Wrestling Entertainment's Payback event on Monday, May 2 (Manila time) as performer Enzo Amore (real name Eric Arndt) was knocked unconscious during a mishap at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois.
Amore was in a tag team match with partner Big Cass against the Vaudevillains Aiden English and Simon Gotch that was supposed to determine the number one contender for WWE Tag Team champions The New Day, but the match was called off midway.

Gotch attempted to throw Amore out of the ring but Amore's head didn't clear the second rope. Amore's head bounced off the second rope, then hit the bottom rope before his head smacked off the canvas and he rolled to the floor unconscious.
The match was immediately called off and Amore was stretchered out of the arena and taken to a local hospital, where he was diagnosed with a concussion, according to WWE.com.

The story has a happy ending as he was discharged shortly after and even posed for a photo outside the hospital in a patient's gown, proving that the New Jersey native is tough as nails - and you can't teach that.
