MANILA, Philippines – The Ateneo Blue Eagles were able to fight through a slow start of turnovers, missed shots, and a double-digit deficit and took down their rival in the DLSU Green Archers, 73-62, on Sunday, November 8, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
It was a big win for Ateneo, as the Blue Eagles avenged their loss to the Green Archers a month ago.
Ateneo now stands at 9-4 this season after winning their fifth straight game. Sunday’s win also kept Ateneo just one game behind UST (10-3) in the loss column and two games behind FEU (10-2) - two teams they’re chasing for one of the two twice-to-beat seeds in the Final Four round.
