Aside from being the first MMA competitor to be on the cover of Ring Magazine, Rousey is also the second woman to ever grace the cover, after Cathy “Cat” Davis became the first in 1978.
Although she started with Judo as her martial arts foundations, Rousey admitted in various interviews that she has fallen in love with boxing over the years working with Edmond Tarverdyan, who has worked with several notable boxers over the years such as Vic Darchinyan.
In addition, Rousey stressed on numerous occasions that she is a huge fan of Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao and unified middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin.
The issue hits newsstands on November 15, the same day Rousey will defend her bantamweight title against former boxer Holly Holm in the main event of UFC 193. – Rappler.com
