MANILA, Philippines – The UAAP cancelled all scheduled games for Sunday, October 18, "due to inclement weather," according to an advisory from UAAP secretary-treasurer Ron Dizer. This came after the conclusion of the men's basketball games Saturday, October 17.
As of the 5 pm bulletin of the state weather bureau Saturday, Metro Manila is under Storm Signal No. 2 due to Typhoon Lando (Koppu).
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration or PAGASA raised storm warning signals in 36 areas as the typhoon is expected to make landfall in Aurora between 8 and 9 am on Sunday.
Affected Sunday games are men's and women's basketball, beach volleyball, and table tennis.
All contests, including UE Red Warriors versus UP Fighting Maroons and FEU Tamaraws versus DLSU Green Archers men's basketball matches, will be rescheduled at a later date. – Rappler.com
