MANILA, Philippines – Ricardo Lamas takes on perhaps the most high-profile opponent in his 8-year professional career as he is set to face mixed martial arts (MMA) legend BJ Penn.
Lamas, a 34-year-old Chicago native who has a prizefighting win-loss slate of 16-5 and is currently ranked number 4 in the UFC featherweight rankings, will share the Octagon with Penn in the main event of UFC Fight Night Manila 2 on October 15.
"The Bully" sat down with Rappler’s MMA reporter Nissi Icasiano to talk about his first visit in the Philippines and his upcoming 5-round encounter against Penn.
