More success as PH karatekas bag 11 medals from Thailand Open

MANILA, Philippines – After the youngsters of Team La Salle bagged 25 medals, including 6 golds, in the Korea Open last weekend, Filipino karatekas achieved more success with 11 medals from the 2016 Thailand Open Karate-Do Championship held from July 14 to 15 in Bangkok, Thailand.

There were 19 countries in competition with more than 500 participants.

With two golds, two silvers, and 7 bronzes, the Philippines finished in 4th place in the overall standings.

Below is the full list of Filipino medalists:

Gold medalists:

1. Loui Jane Remojo – 15 to 16 years old female kata

2. Rita Alexis Cuadra – kumite girls cadet -43

Silver medalists:

1. Cherry Rodriguez – 15 to 16 years old kata

2. Micheal John Badil – -75 kumite

Bronze medalists:

1. Margarette Abba – 10 to 11 years old kata

2. Enrich Napa – 10 to 11 years old boys

3. Jaime Villegas – junior kata

4. Enrich Napa – kumite boys

5. Crystal Beldas – kumite girls junior -47

6. Loue Remojo – kumite -53

7. Bryan Fontillas – kumite +84
