MANILA, Philippines – Gilas Pilipinas will lock horns with Japan once again in the semifinals of the 2015 FIBA Asia Championship on Friday, October 2 in Changsha, Hunan China.

A win from the Philippines will ensure them of a silver medal as well as the prime chance to win the gold medal and automatically qualify for the 2016 Summer Olympics.

Gilas reached the final four after turning back Lebanon in the quarterfinals, 82-70, while Japan rolled past Qatar, 81-67. Gilas defeated Japan in the second round, 73-66.
