MANILA, Philippines – After decades of waiting, the city of Cleveland finally has a major sports championship. And for the Cleveland Cavaliers, it is their turn to bask in the pure bliss and glory of an NBA championship.

The Cavs marched into history as the first team to come back from a 3-1 finals series deficit, defeating the Golden State Warriors in Game 7, 93-89, to win the franchise's first-ever championship.

They also ended a long, painful major sports title drought for the city of Cleveland and foiled Golden State's attempt at capping off a 73-win record-breaking season with a trophy.
