MANILA, Philippines – LeBron James was at his most dominant self all throughout Game 6 of the NBA Finals on Thursday, June 16 (Friday morning, June 17, Manila time) to lead the Cleveland Cavaliers past the Golden State Warriors, 115-101, and force a Game 7.
James finished with another 41-point performance to go with 11 assists, 8 rebounds, and 4 steals while going 16-of-27 from the field and 3-of-6 from downtown. Kyrie Irving also played well, scoring 23 points while Tristan Thompson posted 15 points and 16 boards.
The Warriors, who fell behind 31-11 after one quarter, were led by the 30 points of Steph Curry who fouled out in the fourth quarter and was ejected from the game after a technical foul. Klay Thompson scored 25 points.
It was the first time for Curry to foul out since 2013, and first time to even get to 5 fouls all season.
