MANILA, Philippines – The Golden State Warriors failed to close out the NBA Finals as the Cleveland Cavaliers forced Game 6 with a 112-97 victory on Monday, June 13 (Tuesday, June 14 in Manila).
The defending champions had a chance to clinch a second straight title at home as they led the best-of-7 series 3-1, but got torched by the combined 82 points of LeBron James and Kyrie Irving in Game 5.
The pair took care of business against a short-handed Golden State missing the services of suspended Draymond Green and Andrew Bogut, who appeared to injure his left knee in the third quarter and did not return.
