MANILA, Philippines – Facing a must-win situation in Game 3 of the 2016 NBA Finals, LeBron James and Kyrie Irving led the Cleveland Cavaliers to a dominant win over the Golden State Warriors, 120-90, on Wednesday, June 8 (Thursday morning, June 9, in Manila) at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland.
Despite playing without Kevin Love (concussion), Cleveland opened Game 3 by going on top 9-0 and led by as much as 20 in the first half before holding on the rest of the way to avoid going down 0-3.
Game 4 of the series, which is now at 2-1, is on Friday, June 10 (Saturday morning, June 11, in Manila).
Irving scored 16 points in the first quarter and finished with 30 points to go with 8 assists, while James posted 32 points, 11 rebounds, and 6 dimes. JR Smith also found his stroke by scoring 20 points and drilling 5 3-pointers.
