MANILA, Philippines – Indiana Pacers star Paul George has been revealed as the cover athlete for the latest installment of the hit video game franchise, NBA 2K17.
2K announced George as the cover during an event on Wednesday, June 1 (Thursday morning, June 2, PH time).
Three images of George are on the cover: in his Team USA jersey, in his Pacers away jersey, and in his Pacers home jersey.
NBA 2K will also have a special Legend Edition of the newest version featuring Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant on the cover. Bryant, who played 20 years in the NBA, just concluded his final season.
George will be the cover for the standard edition.
After missing almost the entire 2014-2015 NBA season, George bounced back impressively in 2015-2016 with averages of 23.1 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 4.1 assists a game. The 26-year-old was named to the All-NBA 3rd Team.
