MANILA, Philippines – Fil-Am Los Angeles Laker Jordan Clarkson, who was in Manila for Nike over the weekend, spent his final day here with a cultural and historical lesson at Intramuros on Sunday, May 29.
Clarkson indulged himself with a photo of national hero Jose Rizal.
Afterward, Clarkson, who hopes to be able to play for national team Gilas Pilipinas some day, stopped by Tenement Court in Taguig, the same one Paul George and LeBron James visited when they were in Manila.
He surprised the Nike We Rise kids at the Tenement by bringing them to Kerry Sports at the Fort for a training session. He took part in training drills, played a few mini-games, and even indulged in a session of “running man” with the We Rise players.
Clarkson, who will be busy with free agency this off-season, also had a taste of the fierce local collegiate rivalry as he attended the Ateneo-La Salle preseason match-up. – Rappler.com
