Johnson (24-2-1) is coming off a first-round stoppage victory over Henry Cejudo this past April, finishing the challenger with knees to the body.
The 29-year-old “Mighty Mouse” recently revealed that he inked a lucrative 8-fight contract extension with the world’s premier mixed martial arts organization.
In the other corner, Reis (20-6) has won 3 of his last 4 Octagon outings, owning notable triumphs over Joby Sanchez, Scott Jorgensen and Dustin Ortiz.
Since moving down to the flyweight division, the 31-year-old Brazilian fighter has only lost once, yielding to Jussier “Formiga” da Silva via unanimous decision in May 2015.
The victor of the Johnson-Reis encounter will defend the flyweight crown against “The Ultimate Fighter” season 24 winner.
