MANILA, Philippines – The UST Growling Tigers prevailed over the Ateneo de Manila University, 68-58, to gain a share of the top spot in the UAAP Season 78 men's basketball tournament on Saturday, September 26, at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The Tigers bounced back from a tough loss to defending champion NU Bulldogs and rose to 4-1. While the Eagles snapped its 3-game winning streak and dropped to 3-2.
