WATCH: Clippers' Austin Rivers left bloodied by elbow

MANILA, Philippines - Los Angeles Clippers guard Austin Rivers found himself in a pool of blood on Saturday, April 30, after taking an accidental elbow to the forehead from Portland Trail Blazers forward Al-Farouq Aminu during Game 6 of their NBA playoffs opening round series.

Rivers, who is averaging 8.2 points and 1.6 assists per game so far in the playoffs according to ESPN, left the court and received 11 stitches. Rivers showed tenacity through the wound, and was back on the court - bandages and all - before halftime.

The Clippers trail the Blazers 3-2 in their best-of-7 series and are without star players Blake Griffin and Chris Paul, who didn't make the trip to Portland due to injuries.

The game was currently in progress at the time of this article's publication, with the Blazers leading 50-48 at halftime. – Rappler.com
