MANILA, Philippines - Miss Universe met Mr Met on Thursday, April 28 (Manila time) as Pia Wurtzbach attended her first ever baseball game at Citi Field in Queens, New York.
The reigning Miss Universe representing the Philippines threw out the first pitch before the New York Mets faced the Cincinnati Reds. Wurtzbach played with the team's mascot Mr Met and even get to practice her throwing skills with pitcher Noah Syndergaard.

The Mets, whose stadium is at the end of the 7 subway line in a section of Queens known for its Filipino population, often hold Filipino Heritage Night promos and were the team of former Filipino-American player Benny Agbayani.
