MANILA, Philippines – The Rio Olympics dream of Philippine national men's basketball team Gilas Pilipinas rests on two play dates this July when the 2016 FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament tips off in Manila.
Gilas will play powerhouse France first on Tuesday, July 5, at 9 pm and will then take on New Zealand the following day also at 9 pm.
The Philippines needs to win at least one game to move past the first round.
The winner of the Manila tournament will join two countries from the other two legs in Italy and Serbia to complete the Rio Olympics cast for August.

SM Tickets has already opened up selling of tournament passes on its website as of Tuesday, April 26.
Tournament pass holders will have "access to all sessions (two games per day) of the five competition days (5-10 July)."
