MANILA, Philippines - Some of the best boxing prospects from the tuna capital of the Philippines are set to fight in Metro Manila this Saturday, April 30 at Makati Square Arena as Sanman Promotions hosts its first ever show in the National Capital Region.
The show will be headlined by the 10-round clash between unbeaten bantamweights as "Magic" Mike Plania (9-0, 4 knockouts) of General Santos City faces Lorence Rosas (5-0-2, 2 KOs) of Puerto Princesa.

Plania, 19, was a top amateur as a youth boxer, winning 3 Palarong Pambansa and 3 national titles, and competing at the 2013 AIBA Junior World Boxing Championships in Ukraine. The 21-year-old southpaw Rosas will feel comfortable in the ring, having fought at that venue twice.
The fight will be contested for the World Boxing Federation (WBF) international bantamweight title.
Also on the card is crafty boxer John Vincent Moralde (15-0, 7 KOs) of Davao City, facing Jimmy Aducal (8-5-2, 6 KOs) of Northern Samar in a 10-round featherweight bout, plus heavy-handed bantamweight prospect Reymart Gaballo (12-0, 10 KOs) gets his first stern test against Marlon Arcilla (8-4, 1 KO) of Binan City, a sturdy 21-year-old who has never been stopped and holds a win over hot prospect Jeo Santisima.
Also in 8-round action, Markquil Salvana (10-1, 4 KOs) faces Lowell Saguisa (7-23, 3 KOs) in a junior featherweight fight. Moralde, Gaballo, Plania and Salvana all train at the Sanman Gym in General Santos City.
Promoter Jim Claude Manangquil, 23, has previously promoted 33 professional events since age 15 and hopes this is the beginning of future shows in Manila.
Among the boxers Sanman Promotions have handled are Fernando Lumacad, Randy Petalcorin, Harmonito Dela Torre and Jether Oliva.
The 10-fight show is free to the public and begins at 5 pm. The fights will later be available to watch on Rappler. – Rappler.com
