MANILA, Philippines - The Los Angeles Lakers marked the end of Kobe Bryant's historic career with a video tribute to the 5-time NBA champion before his final game on Thursday, April 14.
Bryant was treated to toasts from a number of league greats, including Shaquille O'Neal, the big man whom he won 3 NBA titles with and feuded publicly throughout the years. Shaq opens up by calling the 37-year-old Bryant "old man" before declaring him "the greatest Laker ever."
Another Lakers teammate, Derek Fisher, proclaimed that "no other player in the history of our game will be able to compare to what you've done, the way you've done it, how long you will live on."
A number of his contemporaries, including Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, Carmelo Anthony and Dirk Nowitzki, plus Lakers super-fan Jack Nicholson also chimed in.
