Wilkerson's dominant game steers San Miguel past Phoenix

MANILA, Philippines – Thanks to another outstanding game by import Tyler Wilkerson, the San Miguel Beermen cruised past the Phoenix Fuel Masters, 121-109, and moved to 7-3 in the Commissioner's Cup standings on Sunday, April 10, at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.

Wilkerson, who was coming off a 58-point outing against NLEX, dropped 40 points to go with 19 rebounds and 4 assists. Alex Cabagnot had 16 points and 6 boards in the win.

The game also marked the debut of new Beermen guard Gary David, who scored two points in 1 minute and 45 seconds of action.

On the other end, import Kevin Pinkney had 38 points and 11 rebounds for Phoenix, while JC Intal scored 14 points.

The Beermen's win improved their record to 9-3, currently good for second in the league standings. The Fuel Masters slipped to 3-8.
