MANILA, Philippines – Is this the last time?

Supporters watch as Filipino boxing legend Manny Pacquiao on Sunday, April 10 fights Timothy Bradley, Jr, one of his biggest rivals, in a match set to kick off his retirement from the boxing industry.

After the fight, the Filipino champ announced that he is going to retire, but just a few hours later said that there's a 50-50 percent chance he will push through with it.

When Pacquiao won, Twitter exploded with messages of happiness and gratitude. "Pacman" ends his career strong, the only way fit for his more than 2 decades in the industry and long list of achievements. (WATCH: Pacquiao knocks Bradley down twice)

Despite the overwhelming happiness, many are sad to see Pacquiao retire.

"We'll definitely miss seeing you inside that ring, Manny," tweeted one.

But not even his last fight nor win would let Pacquiao escape the clutches of politics.

While some netizens acknowledge his prowess inside the ring, many weren't too happy about him joining the senatorial race.

"Stay in the ring, stay out of politics," tweeted one.

Fans, however, found these reactions distasteful, calling for the public to set aside politics first and let Pacquiao have his moment.

In February, Pacquiao was under fire for calling couples in same-sex unions "worse than animals," the boxing icon and two-term congressman cited a scripture to clarify his controversial position

"I rather obey the Lord's command than obeying the desires of the flesh. I'm not condemning anyone, but I'm just telling the truth of what the Bible says," he said.

Moments after the fight, Pacquiao posted an all-smile photo of himself with wife Jinky Pacquiao on social media to give credit for her supportiveness to him. "Through thick and thin. Always by my side no matter what. To God be the glory," the caption read.
