MANILA, Philippines — Sweet revenge.

The DLSU Lady Spikers made sure there would be no repeat of their first round upset loss as they demolished the UST Golden Tigresses in straight sets, 25-11, 25-13, 25-17, in the UAAP Season 78 women's volleyball tournament on Saturday, March 12 at the FilOil Flying V Arena in San Juan.

La Salle, who is now tied for first place with defending champion Ateneo at 7-2, knocked the wind out of UST right from the start and never let them breathe again.

The Lady Spikers' disheartening net defense coupled with a number of well-timed drop balls quickly sapped the energy and confidence out of the Tigresses, who were eventually reduced to high-arcing spikes and poor attack attempts.
