MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED) – The Adamson Lady Falcons made it two wins in a row in the UAAP Season 78 women’s volleyball tournament by defeating the UE Lady Warriors in straight sets, 25-22, 25-22, 25-19, on Saturday, February 27, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao.
Coming from a momentum-building comeback win against FEU, Adamson won its second straight game and closed its first round campaign with a 3-4 record in the thick of the Final Four chase.
UE, which has been disappointing this season, dropped to a winless 0-7 and lost for the 52nd straight time.
Adamson had 3 players score in double-figures led by the 15 of veteran Jessica Galanza. Team captain Mylene Paat posted 13 in the win, while May Roque had 10.
Adamson dominated the attacks battle against UE, 44-27, and converted more service aces, 7-4.
UE, which received 26 points from Adamson errors, was led by the 13 points of Shaya Adorador, who was the club’s lone scorer in double digits.
