MANILA, Philippines – Damian Lillard had the best game of his career as the Portland Trail Blazers dealt the defending champion Golden State Warriors their worst loss of the NBA season, 137-105, on Saturday, February 20, in Portland.
Lillard, who was snubbed out of an All-Star Game spot, scored a career-best 51 points on 18-of-28 shooting and 9 3-pointers plus 7 assists and 6 steals.
Steph Curry finished with 31 for Golden State, while Draymond Green had a near triple-double of 14 points, 12 boards, and 8 assists.
Golden State fell to 48-5, with all 5 defeats coming on the road. Portland moved to above .500 at 28-27 as they inch higher in the Western Conference playoff race.
The Warriors still have a good shot at chasing the '95-96 Bulls for the best regular season record in the NBA history.

Those Bulls led by Michael Jordan finished 72-10. Ironically, their worst loss of the season was also by a 32-point margin, when the Bulls lost on March 10, 1996 against Patrick Ewing’s Knicks, 104-72. – Rappler.com
