MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED) – The De La Salle University Lady Spikers bounced back from their 4-set loss to the NU Lady Bulldogs this week with a 3-set sweep of the Adamson Lady Falcons, 25-13, 25-13, 25-16, on Saturday, February 13, at the San Juan Arena.

DLSU was dominant in each set, cruising to their third win in 4 games this UAAP women's volleyball season.

Adamson dropped to 1-2.

La Salle's scoring was well balanced with 6 players scoring at least 8 points each.

Ara Galang led her team with 10 points, while setter Kim Fajardo and Joy Baron had 9 apiece.

Mika Reyes, Carol Cerveza and May Luna each posted 8 points.

"Happy ako duon sa mga bata. Nakapag deliver nang maayos," DLSU head coach Ramil De Jesus said post game.

(I'm happy with the kids. They were able to deliver well.)

The Lady Spikers went deep with their roster, utilizing 12 players.

DLSU had more attacks, 36-18, and dominated both the blocks, 10-2, and service battles, 14-2.

La Salle's setting was also considerably better against Adamson, which De Jesus credits to playing at an arena his team is familiar with.

"Mas kabisado Lang itong arena (San Juan Arena)," said the head coach after his team played its last game at MOA Arena.

(They know this arena more.)

"Pag medyo familiar sayo yung venue, malaking bagay yun."

(When you're more familiar to the venue, that's a big thing.)

Adamson was led by the 9 points of May Roque. Team captain Mylene Paat struggled with only 3 points, while Jessica Galanza posted 6 poonts.

DLSU will be back in action on Sunday, February 21, when it faces UE, while Adamson tackles UP on Wednesday, February 17. – Rappler.com
