During the third period of the game between the Los Angeles Lakers and Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday, February 11, LeBron James attempted one of his patented bullet passes to a teammate in the corner.
Now, the trajectory and path of the ball looked like a good spiral for the guy he was trying to get the ball to - Iman Shumpert - but it just so happened a Laker was in the middle of the way.
That Laker was second overall pick and rookie D’Angelo Russell, who was hit right in the groin by the ball:

Russell stayed down quite a while and checked out of the game before eventually substituting back in, so that’s good news for Los Angeles fans.
The Cavaliers wound up defeating the Lakers, 120-111.
