MANILA, Philippines – Mario Chalmers comes to the rescue.
The former Miami Heat point guard, who helped lead his former team to two NBA titles from 2012-2013, delivered a clutch performance for his new team, the Memphis Grizzles, in their win over the Detroit Pistons on Friday, January 15.
Chalmers led all players with 25 points, 8 assists, and 4 steals, but saved his best for last.
With the Pistons up 101-98 and just 28 seconds left, Chalmers was able to draw a shooting foul on guard Brandon Jennings and hit 3 free throws to tie the game.
After a Marcus Morris turnover, Chalmers got the ball back and brought his club to the winner’s circle with this difficult shot:

Coincidentally, the last time Memphis faced Detroit, it also won a buzzer-beater thanks to Matt Barnes.
The Grizzlies are now 22-19 while the Pistons dropped to 21-18. – Rappler.com
