MANILA, Philippines – The 2015-2015 PBA Philippine Cup playoffs is set to commence on Christmas Day, Friday, December 25, when phase one of the quarterfinals kicks off.
Opening the festivities will be the matchup between GlobalPort and Barako Bull at 4:15 pm, followed by rivals Star vs. Ginebra at 7:15 pm, with both contests taking place at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The Gin Kings and the Batang Pier both hold twice-to-beat advantages, and so do the Elasto Painters against the Elite and the Tropang Texters against the Road Warriors.
The winner of GlobalPort vs. Barako Bull will then take on the winner of Ginebra vs. Star while the winner of Rain or Shine vs. Blackwater faces the winner of Talk 'N Text vs. NLEX in the sudden death, second phase of the quarters.
In the semifinals, Alaska and San Miguel - the top two seeds in the eliminations - will face the remaining teams from the quarters in best-of-7 series.
The two remaining teams after the semifinals will battle in a 7-game series for the title.
